Kathleen Marie Carpenter, born on September 17, 1958, peacefully passed on October 8, 2011 in the comfort of her home. The daughter of the late George J. Reilly Jr. and Mary Frances Reilly of Stillwater, attended St. Paul Parochial School and graduated from Stillwater High School in 1976. She then went to work for NYS Department of Environmental Conservation where she was employed for 35 years. Kathy is survived by her husband of 32 years, Gary I. Carpenter, her son, Matthew I. Carpenter, her daughter, Kelly A. Carpenter, and her grandsons, David J. Kramek Jr. and Jacob M. Carpenter. Survivors also include her mother, brothers Michael (Holly) Reilly of Malta, John (Sandy) Reilly of Stillwater, and sister Maura Boise of Scottsville. Kathy is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews. Kathys happiest moments were spent at home with her family, cooking, baking, and tending to her garden and pool. She loved nothing more than vacations to Hampton Beach, spending time in the sun, and holidays with her family. Her love of her Irish heritage was evident throughout her home and forever in her Irish eyes. Kathy will long be remembered for her generosity, charity, and willingness to help others. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the All Saints On The Hudson Church, formerly Assumption / St. Pauls Church, Main Street, Mechanicville. Burial will be private in St. Peters Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Community Hospice of Saratoga County, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 in Kathys honor.
