Karen M. Sears of Vosburgh Trailer Park passed away at her home on Sunday, June 7, 2015. She was 57. Born in Troy on January 24, 1958, daughter of James and Rena (Seguin) Carroll. Karen graduated from Catholic High and worked at Four Winds, Saratoga, but her greatest joy was raising her six children. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed going to church. She also loved camping and hiking in the Adirondacks and the state parks, especially in Moreau State Park. Survivors in addition to her parents James and Rena Carroll of Waterford include the father of their children, Edward Sears, III of Malta and children, Alanna (William) Sears- Mount of Gansevoort, Edward (Alyssa) Sears IV, of Saratoga Springs, James Sears of Ballston Spa, Julia Sears of Clifton Park, Christopher (Laurie) Sears of Ballston Spa and Sarah Sears (Kay Shaun Brooks) of Ballston Spa. Her siblings, Colleen Carroll of Clifton Park, Suzanne Halse of Clifton Park, James Carroll of Rexford, Kathleen (Michael) Kotary of Livermore, CA, her 12 grandchildren, one great grandson and her beloved pets, Milo, Scooby and Sabrina. Relatives and friends may call from 4-7pm on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Home, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 9am on Thursday, June 11 at St. Marys Church, Crescent, 86 Church Hill Road, Waterford. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery, Waterford.
