Obituary

Stillwater, Saratoga County Justin-Thomas "Jud E" Leo Ahern, 37, of Stillwater was a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, Godson, nephew, Godfather and cousin, who sadly and unexpectedly passed on August 23, 2023. Justin-Thomas graduated from Stillwater High School. After graduation he went into hardscaping/construction in which he worked for several years. Justin-Thomas is survived by his mother, Shirley Ahern, sisters Jennifer and Elizabeth Ahern, Jessica Moore, his wife Meghan Rose, daughters Anna-Lyn and Lilly-Mae Ahern, nieces Kalie Ahern, Samantha Ahern, Allison Ahern, Riley Stevens, nephews Nick Scaglione, Lukas Ahern, Leo Liotta, Michael R. Ahern and Godmother Cindy VanDerWerker, Godfathers Pat Bruno and Terry Chuba, Aunts Karen Moore Jalonski, Darlene Morris, Kathleen Stewart, Cindy VanDerWerker, uncles Billy and Jackie Moore and many nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones. Justin-Thomas is predeceased by his father Michael J. Ahern, brother Michael P. Ahern, grandparents Richard and Shirley Moore, John and Anne Ahern, aunts Annamae MacChesney, Beth Brunidgie, uncles Philip G. Moore and Leo Riley. Justin-Thomas was a very avid fisherman and hunter. He was deeply into music and playing guitar. He got the most enjoyment from spending time with his family and including them in his interests. He had a massive heart and loved making everyone around him laugh with his amazing sense of humor. He lit up every room he walked into. His daughters were the light of his life. He was a loving, caring and unbelievably compassionate father and partner and family man. Calling hours will be from 2-5:00pm on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. A service will follow at 5:00 in the funeral home. Following the services there will be a pot luck at the Stillwater American Legion Post #490. Any donations will be accepted here or at gofundme.com , anything helps and is greatly appreciated.
