Mechanicville, Saratoga County Joseph Earl Hurd of East Street passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 at his residence with his loving family at his side. He was 51. Joe was born on October 1, 1964 in Troy, son of the late John and Elizabeth (Culver) Hurd. He is the fianc of the late Melissa Kay Dragon who had passed away in 2014. Joe worked as a machinist for the Bobrick Washroom Equipment, Inc. of Clifton Park. He coached for the Mechanicville Jr. Red Raiders and was an avid New York Giants fan. Joe loved Irish music and culture but above all he enjoyed spending time with his grandsons. Survivors include his sister, Victoria Ann Hurd of Mechanicville, sons Justin D., David J. and Morgan C. all of Mechanicville and his grandsons Cole and Brody Carbone-Dragon. Relatives and friends may call from 3-6pm on Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville.
