Obituary

Jonathan "Jonny G" Goodman passed away unexpectedly Sunday March 27th with loving family by his side. He was 69 years young. At the old farm house in Melrose is where he decided to put down his roots. He knew it was the perfect place to raise a family. He met his soulmate in the late 70's while being a bohemian in the wilds of San Francisco and they spent 44 years creating a wonderful live together. Having the most amazing adventures he opened his heart to everyone, always making new friends and constantly bringing home strays. He had family and friends on both sides of the pond and would travel to England often with Jeanne and Jenette by his side. Jonny was a lover of music, family, dance, life, and all peoples but most of all his girls. Born in England he was a Melrosian and a Rye Bread elder. A master craftsman, wood worker, electrician, plumber, traveler, musician, artist, poet, and jack of all trades. Anyone who knew him knew him as an epic man, a true legend. His natural ear for sound and love for music landed him a job at Dalbecs as a sound engineer which gave him a front row seat to the events he loved. He was always there anyone, anytime, for anything. A selfless man that prided himself in anything he put his hands and mind to. Preceded by Philip and Josie Goodman and a number of Rye Bread family members. Survived by his devoted wife Jeanne, daughter Jenette (David) Vogt, and granddaughter Kierra whom he affectionately referred to as "Booper" and he was "Pappy" to her. A number of nephews and nieces and brother David and his sons Jono, Ollie, and Ben. A celebration of life will be decided by the family at a later date.
