Schaghticoke, Rensselaer County, NY John Wojciechowski, Sr. of Route 40 passed away on Monday, July 3rd, 2023 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a brief illness. He was 66 years old. Born on June 13th, 1957 in Manhattan, son if Ignatius and Viola (Szymanski) Wojciechowski. He was the husband of Nancy Patricia (Smith) Wojciechowski whom he married on October 10,1982. John has lived in the area since 1994, moving from Queens . He worked in food service management. In earlier years he enjoyed softball, bowling and was a member of the Schaghticoke Volunteer Fire Department. He loved watching hockey, baseball and football. He was an animal lover and he especially loved horse and was affectionately known as "Cowboy". He most loved spending time with his family and most importantly his beloved granddaughter "Kenz". Survivors in addition to his loving wife Nancy include his children , Abby (Rick) Martin of Valley Falls, John David (JD) Wojciechowski (Angel Bellows) of Schaghticoke, His granddaughter, Mackenzie (Kenz) Martin, and his niece Monica (Marilyn) Grzetic. In addition his beloved canines Callie, Senko, Chessa and Nike as well as all that passed before. And his family wishes to thank and acknowledge the wonderful nurses and staff of the 3rd floor PCU of Samaritan Hospital for their care and kindness in his final days.
