John Robert Dyer, formerly of Stillwater, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 after a brief illness. He was 53.
Born on October 5, 1963 in Troy, NY, son of Sherri L. (Mohan) Dyer and the late John Jack Dyer. He is the husband of Deanna (Hunt) Dyer whom he married on October 6, 2001.
John resided in New Smyrna, FL for the past 25 years. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and belonged to the International Union of Engineers, Local #925, Tampa. John was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Above all he loved spending time with his family and friends and keeping in touch with longtime friends from the Stillwater area.
Survivors in addition to his mother, Sherri of Stillwater, NY and wife Deanna of New Smyrna, FL include his three stepchildren, Joseph, Hillary and Carrie Hunt and step grandchildren Jonah and Colt Hunt, his siblings, Lisa (Tom) Druding of North Wales, PA, Tim (Michelle) Dyer of Syracuse, Mary Ann (Keith) Kreuzer of Wynantskill and Zack (Sandra) Dyer of Stillwater. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends.
In addition to his father Jack, be is predeceased by his grandparents, John and Mary Dyer and Leo and Helen Mohan.
There will be a celebration of Johns life at 3pm on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the family home, 45 Graves Road, Stillwater. Family and friends are invited and encouraged to attend.
