Stillwater, Saratoga County John Austin Roberge, Jr. of Dorchester Drive passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 14, 2019. He was 73. Born on October 29, 1945 in Watertown, a son of the late J. Austin and Genevieve (Lee) Roberge, Sr. He is the husband of Mary (Howard) Roberge whom he married on September 9, 1967. John worked in sales and retired from United Rentals of Clifton Park. He was an active member of the Stillwater Christian Fellowship, serving as treasurer. He was a past member of the Stillwater School Board and was very active in community theater assisting in all aspects of production. In his spare time he enjoyed old movies, especially Westerns and was fascinated with history. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife, Mary Roberge include their son, Jeff (Jamie) Roberge of Allen, TX, a son in law, Todd Quickenton (Brittney) of Baldwinsville, his adoring grandchildren Claire, Zachary, Maxwell and Phoenix, his brothers William (Maryjo) Roberge of North Syracuse and Kerry Roberge of Watertown. Also survived by several brothers and sisters in law and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his daughter, Denise Lynn Quickenton. A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Liberty Ridge Farm, Schaghticoke. There will be no calling hours.
