Dunn, Mechanicville, Saratoga County John "Tiger" Joseph Dunn, Sr. passed away at Saratoga Hospital on Saturday, April 12, 2014. He was 84. Born in Mechanicville on October 17, 1929 son of the late John J. Dunn and Marguerite (Kelley) Dunn. He is the husband of the late Carmela (Sementelli) Dunn who passed away in 2005. Tiger attended St. Paul's School in Mechanicville and retired from the New York State DOT where he was a Tugboat Captain for the Erie Canal System. A member of the Mechanicville Senior Citizens, The Knights of Columbus and an usher at the former St. Paul's Church. He was an avid fan of the NY Mets and a twenty two year member of the J. L. Short Hook and Ladder Company #1 in Mechanicville. Survivors include his son, John (Kimberly) Dunn, Jr. and their four sons; Matthew, Alexander, Nickolas and Zackary, all of Mechanicville. Daughters, Eileen Rabideau and her two sons; Kristofer Dunn and Joshua Rabideau of Mechanicville and Stephanie (Stan) Hyles and their son Lucas Hyles of Lancaster, MA. Siblings; Rosemary Garland, Ann (Vernon) Perkins, James (Martha) Dunn and Marty (Sue) Dunn all of Mechanicville. In addition to his parents and wife, Tiger was predeceased by his brother, Tom Dunn. Relatives and friends may call from 4-7pm on Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11am on Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Mechanicville.
