Joan Marie Starks, age 93, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Schuyler Ridge Residential Healthcare in Clifton Park.

She was the daughter of the late Stephen J. Starks, Sr. and Jennie O'Connor Starks. She is the sister of the late Stephen J. Starks, Jr. and the sister-in-law of Joanne. Survived by loving nieces Sharon (Nicholas) Calogero, Lisa (Fred) Cutia, Deborah (Steve) D'Amico and dear nephew Daniel (Lisa) Starks. Also four great nieces and five great nephews.

A graduate of St. Paul's Parochial School, Catholic Central High School class of 1950, and the Troy and Albany Business College. Her secretarial career began at West Virginia Pulp and Paper Co., and worked at General Electric Silicones in Waterford, and upon retirement, part time at DiSiena Furniture Company. She belonged to the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites, Our Lady of Mercy Community, Schenectady. She was a long-term member of Court St. Paul #71, Past Regents Chapter, CDA Albany Diocese Rosary/Altar Society, St. Jude Novena Group and volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy. She also served many years at Assumption/St. Paul (All Saints) as Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Lazarus Ministry. She traveled extensively through Europe and all over the world and was a devoted visitor to the holy lands.

Visiting will be on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 10am- 11am at All Saints on the Hudson, Mechanicville. Funeral Mass will follow at 11am with interment to follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Viall Ave., Mechanicville.
