Niskayuna, Schenectady County Joan Marie (Butler) Mann of Niskayuna, NY, formerly a long term resident of Webster, NY, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2020 at Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland NY. Born on January 11, 1924 to Hazel Winters and Raymond Butler In Detroit MI. Michigan was home for 37 years. She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Ward Mann. Joan was a homemaker, accomplished bridge player, avid reader, world traveller and collector. Her husband Ward was a well known artist and for 30 summers they both lovingly operated The Ward Mann Gallery in Rocky Neck, MA. She and Ward were longtime members of the Webster Presbyterian Church and active in their community. Joan had three sons - the late Robert Mann (Hope) of Northport NY, Craig Mann (Mary) of Wilmington NC and Kim Mann (Sharon) of Melrose NY. Nana Joanie also leaves behind six granddaughters and eight great grandchildren. The family will conduct a private ceremony at a date to be determined.
