Joan F. Cokelet formerly of Galway, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs. She was 80. Born on July 19, 1933 in Floral Park, Long Island, daughter of the late Thomas and Frances Trainor. She is the widow of Ronald W. Cokelet, Sr. Joan is a parishioner of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Hagaman and most recently worked as a cashier at Walmart in Clifton Park. Survivors include her children, Maria (James) Wojna of Concord, CA and their children Sarah and Alisha, Constance Stockwicz of Clifton Park and her children Michael, Chelsea and Paul, Jr., Christina (Timothy) Garland of Ballston Spa and their children Sean, Jonathan and Patrick, and Michele (Richard) Mone of Stillwater and their children Brandon, Kyle and Ashley. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her son, Ronald W. Cokelet, Jr. and her siblings Thomas and James. Relatives and friends may call from 5-7pm on Wednesday, February 26 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 9am on Thursday at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 51 Pawling St., Hagaman. Interment will be in the spring at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Hagaman.
