Mechanicville, Saratoga County Joan B. Armer passed away on Monday, February 08, 2016 at Marys Haven in Saratoga Springs. She was 80. Born in Ketchums Corners on April 20, 1935, she is the daughter of the late Arthur and Anna (Bennett) Armer. Joan worked for Saratoga County as a switchboard operator for 20 years. Survivors include her twin sister, Jane (Arthur) Overocker of Stillwater, her nieces, Marianna E. (John) Denier and her children Mollie and Brianna Denier of Mechanicville, and Stacy J. (Timothy) Sanderson and her children Sean and Seth Johnson of Schaghticoke as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings, William, Arthur, Walter, Anna and Barbara Armer and her nephew Arthur L. Armer. Relatives and friends may call from 10-12 noon on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. Funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon in the funeral home. Burial will be in the family plot in the Fairmont Cemetery in Quaker Springs in the spring.
