Valley Falls, Rensselaer County Jessie A. Sheldon of North Street passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy with her loving family at her side. She was 71. Born in Troy on December 10, 1943, daughter of the late Stephen and Jessie (Malinson) Roberts. She is the wife of John K. Sheldon whom she married on May 22, 1965. Jessie was a member of the Hoosic Valley Community Church and an honorary member of the Valley Falls Fire Company. She enjoyed spending time with the church and fire department, but loved being with family and her kitty cats. In addition to her husband of 50 years, John, she is survived by her daughter Sandra J. Sheldon Destler (Kristy Littleton) of Delaware, her brother in law Danny C. Sheldon of Northville and nieces and nephews Dan, Dug and Debra Sheldon. She is predeceased by her son, Stephen J. Sheldon and her sister Janice Roberts Changa. Relatives and friends may call from 10-12 noon on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the Hoosic Valley Community Church, 2024 Rt. 40 Schaghticoke. Funeral service will be in the church at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Memorys Garden Cemetery, Colonie.
