Cohoes, Albany County Jeffrey Dale Wheeler of Waterside Way passed away at home on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. He was 68. Born in Troy on June 18, 1952, a son of Jason F. and Evelyn (Jensen) Wheeler, Sr. He is the husband of Holly (Jeavons) Wheeler. Jeff served in the Air Force as an airplane mechanic and was honorably discharged in 1975. He went on to work as a machinist at the Watervliet Arsenal until his retirement. Jeff played bass guitar for "The Essentials" in the 1970s. He bowled in earlier years and recently was able to connect with former Hoosic Valley classmates via Facebook which he enjoyed. In addition to his wife, Holly, he is survived by two children, Hannah (Shawn) McCormick and Molly (Zack) Winters, his brothers, Jason F. Wheeler, Jr., of TX, Stephen Wheeler of NJ, Christian Wheeler of MA and Lesley Wheeler of Johnsonville, NY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Services for Jeff will be private and at the convenience of his family. Burial with military honors will be in the spring in Elmwood Cemetery, Schaghticoke.
