Ballston Spa Saratoga County Jeanne M. Jacobs passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Gateway House of Peace. She was 66. Born on January 30, 1956, in Amsterdam, daughter of William and Arlette (Coessens) Merz. She is the wife of Douglas Jacobs. Jeanne was an office manager and licensed insurance agent for the former Farm Family Insurance Company. Jeanne was a tender, loving, genuinely sweet person who cared deeply for all around her. She will be deeply missed. Survivors, in addition to her husband Doug, include her children Erin Connolly of Brooklyn and Dan Connolly of Seattle, WA, stepchildren Michael (Gina) Jacobs of Hopewell, NJ, Alison Jacobs of Albany, and Andrea Jacobs of Hudson Falls, and her grandchildren Ruby Jacobs and Joe Jacobs, as well as her siblings Diane London of Nashua, NH, Mary Anne Hart (Ray Mullin) of Charlton, Patricia (Ed) Pangburn of Duanesburg, Sheila (Herbert) Sherry of Boca Raton, FL, and Loretta Hill (Jeff Lucas) of Hyde Park. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother William M. Merz. The family will be honoring Jeanne with a private celebration of life.
