Long Lake, Hamilton County Jason T. Hemmings of Long Lake, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2012. He was 35. Born on November 8, 1976 in Troy, son of Eric T. and the late Linda M. Rose Hemmings. He is the husband of the former Nicole Rifenburg. Jason had been employed as a cook in Long Lake. He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors, especially kayaking and fishing with his children. Survivors in addition to his wife Nicole Hemmings and his father Eric include his brother Kyle T. Hemmings and his children Kylin and Logan of Johnsonville, four sons, James T., Nathan, Ivan and Quade T. Hemmings, his maternal grandmother, Nancy Rose, his aunts, uncles and cousins, Sheila (Rich) Simmons of Melrose and their daughter Brandy, Jackie (Sandy) Greinert and their daughters Candy, Cindy and Christine of Schaghticoke, aunt Tracy Racicot of Johnsonville, uncles Mark Rose and Tim Rose, cousins Ian Rose, Jeremiah Rose and Theodore Rose, and his aunt Ruth Connolly and her sons James and Christopher of Schaghticoke and Ray Connolly of Valley Falls. Jason is predeceased by his mother, Linda Hemmings, his maternal grandfather, Theodore Rose and paternal grandparents, Jack and Mai Hemmings. A memorial mass will be conducted at 10:30am on Monday, August 20, 2012 at the Transfiguration Parish, Route 40, Schaghticoke with Rev. George Fleming officiating. Burial will be in the family plot in Elmwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Road, Albany, NY 12211.
