Schaghticoke, Rensselaer County Janet Mary Lucky Henderson Janet Mary Lucky Henderson of East Street passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 4, 2017. She was 55. Born in Troy on August 8, 1962, daughter of the late JoAnn (Mirra) Filkins and the late Thomas James Filkins. She is the beloved wife of Richard Ashworth Henderson, Jr., whom she married on September 9, 2006. Lucky was a graduate of Stillwater Central Schools, class of 1980. In 1986, she moved to Schaghticoke. She was a long time member of the American Legion Post 731 Ladies Auxiliary in Schaghticoke. She co-owned and operated Get Nailed, her nail salon and Hendersons Bar and Grill, both located in Schaghticoke. She worked in customer service and inside sales for DeCrescente Distributors of Mechanicville for over 10 years and most recently worked as an ophthalmology technician for the Glaucoma Consultants of the Capital Region. She was one of the founders of Camp Fancy Pants at the Schroon River Campgrounds in Warrensburg where her family and friends would gather. She spearheaded numerous memorials and fundraisers for Womens Health and breast cancer research through St. Peters Hospital and the Graveyarders Annual Car Shows in memory of her Uncle Butch. She always enjoyed spur of the moment shopping trips to New York City with her sister and will always be remembered for being a loving and welcoming person with a profound love of flip flops and jewelry. In addition to her husband Richard, she is survived by her sisters, Robin (Rodger) Shufelt of Mechanicville, JoAnn Stone of Johnsonville, Grace (Daniel, Sr.) Smith of Schaghticoke and Lucky Jo Filkins of Johnsonville. She was Aunt Yuck to her beloved nieces and nephews Zachary Shufelt, Billy Paulo and Phillip Paulo, Daniel Smith, Jr., and JoAnna Smith, Thomas Brust (Meghan Lynch) and John Brust. Also survived by Sue Lovely, her father in law Richard Henderson, Sr., (Karen), Tamie (David) Mease, Raymond (Christine) Lovely, Bruce (Rhonda) Lovely, Wayne (Annette) Lovely, Theresa (Rick) Beaulac, brother in laws Jim (Darcie) Henderson and Bryan (Jill) Henderson, Carl Mease, Ashley Lovely, Kailyn Butler, Corey Griffin, Elyse Banker, Erica Beaulac, Tyler Beaulac and baby Cecilia, BoDean Beaulac as well as Jamie Henderson and Blakely A. Henderson, Kristen (Caryn) Coughtry, Becky (Donnie) Simpson, Jack and Marlee. She is also survived by several great nieces, great nephews, cousins and numerous close friends. She is predeceased by her niece, Crystal Donovan and her uncles Joey Mirra, Butch Whitney and Howard Hull and father in law Ray Lovely, beloved pets Ruby, Junkyard Dog, Cricket, Jade and Chipmunk Betty White. Funeral will be conducted at 2:00pm in the church with burial to follow in St. Johns Cemetery, Schaghticoke.
