Janet Lorraine (Ostrander) Harrison passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026 with loving family at her side following a long battle with illness. She was 75.

Born in Pennsylvania on November 3, 1950. She is the widow of the late John William Harrison, Jr. who preceded her in 2024.

Janet worked as a house keeper and loved crocheting. She enjoyed getting her hair and nails done and loved going to the ocean. In earlier years you would find her with her beloved husband, John, relaxing on their front porch watching the hummingbirds. Above all she treasured time spent with her adoring grandchildren who will sorely miss her homemade fudge. Her guilty pleasure was her favorite movie, "Magic Mike".

She joins her husband John, her mother Cornelia and her grandparents, as well as her siblings.

Survivors include her children, Jacqueline (George) Hoffman, James Harrison, Katherine Harrison and John Harrison as well as a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 from 11am – 1pm at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street, Schaghticoke. A memorial service will be held at 1pm in the funeral home with inurnment at the Gerald B. H. Solomon – Saratoga National Cemetery at 2pm.
