Jan Charles "Brat" Frisino age 66, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 20, 2021.
Born on August 8, 1954 in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late Harry and Eleanor (Holmes) Frisino, and devoted nephew of the late Gladys Holmes.
He is survived by his brother Scott (Jean) Frisino and his twin Joel (the late Bette)
Frisino both of Johnsonville, NY; his son Elliott (Caitlin) of Bozeman, MT; his grandchildren Charleigh, Eli, Alexa, and Roman. Uncle to Justin (Sarah), Nora and Chester Frisino of Valley Falls, NY; Makenzie Frisino (Joshua Velicky) of Malta, NY; Meghan Frisino of Troy, NY; Eric (Tegan) Frisino of Johnsonville, NY. He is also survived by his dear friends Lee and Al of Cohoes, NY.
Jan had a close relationship with the Baranowski Family of Valley Falls, NY.
They were a second family to him.
Jan was a life-long resident of Valley Falls, NY and graduated from Hoosic Valley Central School in 1973. After high school he worked as a crane operator for Adirondack Steel and then Freedmans Scrapyard. Later on, he worked as a custodian at the Capital District Psychiatric Center in Albany, NY. Jan also served as a member of the Valley Falls Fire Department.
Jan struggled for many years with alcohol but eventually overcame his addiction. Those close to him were proud of his accomplishment and he spent the past
eleven years enjoying life with them. He enjoyed time in the woods hunting and
had great stories to share. Jan spent the last few years with Joel and other family members and friends building a new home for Joel in Johnsonville as well as a camp in the Adirondacks. He had fond memories of time spent at Lake Champlain with his family. He enjoyed being part of the Baranowski "pit crew" and attended many stock car races over the years. Jan's smile and sense of humor will be greatly missed.
Outdoor Calling hours will be from 1:00pm 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2021 at his brother Scotts residence at 98 Barton Road, Johnsonville, NY. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
