Mechanicville, Saratoga County James T. Minick of Mechanicville, NY passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Capstone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was 69. James, known as Jimmy by all of his friends and family, was born on May 13, 1952 in Troy NY. He is the son of the late James P. and Natalie E. (Murray) Minick. He worked at Samaritan Hospital in the dietary department for 15 years, before working as a mail sorter for the US Postal Service, in Albany, from where he retired. For many years, Jimmy loved fishing from his red canoe in the Hudson River in Mechanicville. He also enjoyed shopping, as well as watching his favorite sports teams, the Mets and the Jets. But above all, his favorite pastime was watching television. Survivors include his siblings Jane Catricala of Watervliet, Gregg (Bonnie) Minick of Stillwater, Carol (Vince) Krasuski of Mechanicville, Scott (Debbie Hitchcock) Minick of Haymarket VA, and his sister-in-law Sharon Minick of Stillwater. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, a great niece and great nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Along with his parents, James is predeceased by his brother Jeff Minick. The family would like to make a special heartfelt thank you to Jimmys caretaking angels, Bev Bussiere, Donna Salisbury and Judy Garrow for their compassion and care over the last several years.
