Hoosick Falls, Rensselaer County James M. Burdick of First Street passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Glens Falls Hospital following a battle with cancer. He was 62. Born in Troy on October 14, 1958, son of the late Eugene P. and Eleanor G. (Cary) Burdick. He is the husband of Marie E. (Lundstrom) Burdick. Jim worked most of his life as an accomplished carpenter. He had a strong work ethic and was very detail oriented. He was a loving and devoted husband and father and enjoyed spending time with family. Survivors in addition to his wife Marie include his children, Chris Burdick of Troy, John (Tabitha) Burdick of Hoosick Falls and their son John, Jr. and Erin (Billy) Robertson of North Carolina and their daughters Khelsea and Kiersten, his siblings, Harold (Diane) Burdick of North Hoosick, John (Amy) Burdick of Speigletown and Helen (Ken) Blanchard of North Carolina. Also survived by his aunts, Peg and Kathy Burdick, his niece, Jessica Arocho and cousins Maggie (Fred) Lexa, Billy Keenan and Bobby Willett.
