Jakob Anthony Ryf, 19, of Stillwater, New York, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022. He was born in Bennington, Vermont, on August 13, 2003, to Jaimee and Jeremy Ryf. He attended Stillwater High School. Jakob will be remembered as having a kind and gentle soul but being incredibly strong. He was fiercely protective of his loved ones and was always the ringleader of his cousins and little brother, Jayse, as they played together growing up. He had always been a very empathetic person and had a love for all animals, especially cats and dogs. He was the kind of person who got sad and shed a tear when an animal got hurt in a movie. He was always active and very creative. When he wasnt tinkering or building something, he was drawing, playing music, or spending time with his friends riding bikes or skateboards and playing basketball. Jakob was preceded in death by his grandmother, Karla Ryf, and his great-grandmother, Marilyn H. Simon. In addition to his parents, he will be greatly missed by his brother, Jayse Ryf of Baldwinsville, NY, grandparents Marilyn and Bill Paulo of Baldwinsville, NY, Kevin and Heidi Teal of Mechanicville, NY, and George Ryf of Long Island, NY. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
