Ilse C. Engelhardt Galway, NY Ilse C. Engelhardt passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at her residence with her loving family at her side. She was 89. Born in Helmstedt, Germany on January 15, 1930, daughter of the late Wilhelm Buchholz and Charlotte Hrig. Ilse emigrated to the United States from her home country in 1960. She worked for Freihofers Bakery in Albany as a baker and scaler, retiring in the early 1990s. Ilse is survived by a daughter, Rita Ware of Galway, her grandson, Charles "CT" Ware and his wife Brandi of Kingston, NY and their children Zachary and Sydney, and her granddaughter, Jessica Ware of Galway. Also survived by her nieces Frauke Fockenburg and Jessica Perl. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister, three brothers and a son in law, Charles Ware.
