Obituary

Ifegenia Ginger (Papadopoulos) Campbell, Melrose, Rensselaer Co., Ginger Campbell of County Route 40 passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at her residence. She was 79. Born on January 28, 1937 in Wantagh, NY, daughter of the late John and Demetra (Gianoulis) Papadopoulos. She is the widow of Robert Campbell whom passed away in 2015. Ginger was a very active member and Lay Minister for the Melrose United Methodist Church. For over 30 years she was an active leader and trainer for the Girl Scouts. She enjoyed woodworking, cross stitch and cooking. Ginger also adored her Sunday school class, her beloved cat smokey, but above all loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Carol (Chris) Mammano of Brooklyn and their daughter, Sarah, John (Cindy) Campbell of Huntington and their children Michael and Alexander and Elizabeth (Matthew) Korcz of Birmingham, AL and their children Kaitlyn, Nikolas and Thomas. A memorial service will be conducted 11am on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Melrose United Methodist Church, 20 Church Street, Melrose. Burial at the convenience of her family in the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
