Valley Falls, Rensselaer County Ida May Bushway Ida May Bushway passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at her residence on Poplar Avenue. She was 88. Born on August 2, 1929, daughter of the late Fred and Helen (Mason) Sayers. She is the widow of Charles Bushway. Ida enjoyed doing puzzles, board games, card games, latch hooking and baking with her grandchildren, visits from her siblings and above all spending time with her loving family. Survivors include her sons, Gordon Bushway of Pittstown, Everett (Amy) Bushway of Waterford, her grandchildren, Katie-Jo (Samir) Mohamed-Ali, Karrie-Ann (Russell) Bradley, Erika Hughes, Greg (Jennifer) Bushway, Ashlee Bushway and Cody Bushway, twelve great grandchildren, her siblings, Hazel Sayers, Scott Sayers, Shirley (Paul) McClure, Betty Fargo and Linda Goodrich, her step children Irene Brown and William Bushway as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her son, Alvin Bushway, her siblings, Eric Sayers and Pearl Whitehill, her stepchildren Charles Bushway and Robert Bushway. Relatives and friends may call from 11am-1pm on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street, Schaghticoke. Funeral service will be conducted at 1pm in the funeral home with burial in Tomhannock Cemetery.
