Schaghticoke, Rensselaer County Heather Ann Ryan of Stillwater Bridge Road passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023 peacefully at home with her loving family at her side. She was 50. Born in Troy on July 7, 1972, daughter of the late Gerald and Marie (Phillips) DeLurey. When her mother passed away at an early age, her aunt and uncle Cindy and Jim Fahey raised her. She is the wife of James J. Ryan whom she married on September 24, 1993. Heather worked as a special education aide for the North Colonie and Hoosic Valley School Districts. She went on to work for the Department of Motor Vehicles as a licensing clerk for the Rensselaer County DMV. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, reading and the occasional Hallmark Channel movie. In addition to her husband James and her Aunt Cindy and Uncle Jim, she is survived by her sons, Kyle (Paige) Ryan and Connor Ryan both of Schaghticoke, her cousins, Michael (Patricia) Fahey of Pittstown, Kari (Michael) Reeves of Florida, Matthew Fahey of Pittstown, her brothers and sisters in law, Mike and Shannon Ryan, John and Cheryl Ryan, Pete and Linda Ryan, Dave and Widilia Ryan, Paul Ryan and Thomas Ryan. Also survived by her mother in law Agnes D. Ryan, several nieces, nephews, cousins and her canine companion Sunshine. She was expecting to become a "Mema" later this year. She is predeceased by her maternal grandparents Elmer and Kathryn Phillips, paternal grandparents Gerald and Dorothy DeLurey and her father in law David Ryan. Relatives and friends may call from 4-8:00pm on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street, Schaghticoke. Funeral mass will be on Friday, January 13 at 11:00am at All Saints on the Hudson Church (St. Peters), 881 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. Burial will be in Warren Cemetery.
