Johnsonville, Rensselaer Co. Harry Arthur Rifenburgh of Johnsonville, NY passed away on Monday, November 22nd, 2021. He was 81. Harry was born on April 17th, 1940, a son of Gordon and Elizabeth (Peters) Rifenburgh and is the husband of Helen (Eriksen) Rifenburgh. Harry served in the United States Marines Corps from May 1957 until his honorable discharge in October 1970. Following his military service Harry worked as a truck driver at Cibro, Gorman Brothers and Grand Union. For many years Harry was a member of the VFW Post 1938. Survivors, in addition to his wife Helen, include his children, John (Patricia) Rifenburgh of Johnsonville, Gordon (Patricia) Rifenburgh of Johnsonville, Matthew (Christine) Rifenburgh of Johnsonville, Kimberly (Lynnwood) Blaise of Troy, and Stacie Rifenburgh of Troy. His siblings Ruthann Costanzo (late Eddie Robins), and Doris Rourke. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Harry is predeceased by his brothers, Warren, Leo, Charles, Bruce, Fred, William and Phillip. Calling Hours will be held from 11:00 am 1:00 pm, on Wednesday December 1, at Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main Street, SCHAGHTICOKE, NY. Services will take place following calling hours at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will take place at 2:30 in Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. There will be a gathering at the VFW following all services.
