Harry (Jim) James Gori passed away on Saturday, October 23 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by his family. He was 76 years old.
Born on March 10, 1934 to the late Eugene & Helen McGarvin Gori
Jim was the husband of the late Barbara Gifford Gori who passed away in 2002.
A graduate of Mechanicville High School He was a veteran of the US Army
He was a Machine Shop Forman with thirty years experience for Ushers Machine & Tool Co. and previously had over 24 years with the Bricklayers Union of Troy.
A member of the Vermont Tractor Pullers Association and the Tri State Antique Tractors Club.
An avid sportsman who enjoyed both hunting and fishing as well as tractor pulling.
Jim was well known for his weekend breakfast travels with his good friend and neighbor Jim.
Most of all he loved the time he spent with his sons, helping with projects, and offering wisdom and advise. He will be missed deeply by his family and friends.
Survivors include his three sons; Michael J. (Susan) Gori of Ballston Spa, David W. Gori of Idaho and Stephen M. (Tammy) Gori of Malta. 5 Grandchildren Evan, Angela, Nathaniel, Eathan, Jacquelynn Gori
Siblings: William (Gloria) Gori of Malone, NY Ruth Milczarek, Ushers, Elizabeth (William) Schermerhorn of Salem, Jeanette (Tony) Abbate of Florida, Joan (Joe) Bennedict of Halfmoon, Rita (Patrick) Kelly of Ballston Spa.
Predeceased by his sister Diane Swain of Kansas City Mo.
Relatives and Friends may call Tuesday from 5 7 PM at the Dunn Funeral Homes, Inc. 319 Park Avenue Mechanicville. A private funeral service will be conducted at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Dr. Charles Woodman, Officiating.
Burial will take place in Malta Ridge Cemetery.
