Stillwater, Saratoga County Harold E. Pete Burchell of Route 9P passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Saratoga Hospital. He was 75. Born on September 24, 1940 in Tompson, PA, son of the late Herbert Milton and Isabelle (Burdick) Burchell. He is the husband of Dawn Mereweather whom he married in 1965. Pete retired from Victory Specialty Packaging of Victory Mills as a plant manager. When the company relocated to Schuylerville in 1980, he moved to Saratoga Lake. As an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved being on Saratoga Lake. Many young people will remember him for giving generously of his time to them. Survivors in addition to his wife of 51 years, Dawn Burchell include his children, John Burchell (Jessica Moore) of Gansevoort, Carolyn (Todd) Cox of Melrose. In the early 1980s the Burchell family joyfully added five more children, Tina Marie (William) Clements of Schuylerville, Lila (Eric) Bourgeois of Saratoga Springs, Tammy (Jeffery) Griffin of Doylestown, PA, Lisa (Edwin) Coons of Burnt Hills and Allen (Darlene) Robichaud, Jr. of Northville as well as his siblings, Don (Jean) Burchell and Sharon LaLone. He also leaves 22 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is predeceased by his sisters, Barbara McArdell and Linda Ryan Snyder and a brother in law Gary LaLone. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of his family.
