Geraldine A. Gerry Sherry of Barton Road passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. She was 70. Born on November 22, 1940 in Troy, she is the daughter of the late Vincent R. and Mary Frances (Pratt) Swanson. She is the beloved wife of John E. Jack Sherry whom she married on October 9, 1965 in the former St. Jeans Church, Troy. Mr. & Mrs. Sherry just recently had their 46th wedding anniversary. Gerry enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed doing things with Jack. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, wit and kindness. She was a selfless mother and wife, often sacrificing to help her family succeed. In addition to her husband Jack, Gerry is survived by her daughters, Gerri Sherry of Schaghticoke and Catherine (David) Lesson of Buskirk, a son, John (Janett) Sherry of Anaheim, CA, her granddaughter, Sarah Campbell of Schaghticoke, a sister, Delores Holmes of Brunswick, her aunt, Mercena Pratt of Manlius, a sister-in-law, Lana Maloney Swanson of Eagle Bridge and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Mary Agnes Collard and her brother Vincent J. Swanson.
