Gayle Marie McDonald of Verbeck Avenue passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, surrounded by her loving family. She was 62. Born at home in Schaghticoke on March 8, 1950, daughter of the late James and Reba (Viall) Bevis. She is the wife of Albert J. McDonald. Gayle was a coordinator for SADD and class advisor at Hoosic Valley School System. She was very active in church and other local organizations and enjoyed arts and crafts and was very artistic. Survivors in addition to her husband Al include their sons, Michael McDonald and A. J. (Christina) McDonald, her grandchildren, Adin, Jasmine and Breanna McDonald, her sisters, Tink (Iva Jane) Tordoff (Roger) and Lori (Sara Jean) Bevis (Floyd). Also survived by her father-in-law Albert, her brother and sisters-in-law Jim McDonald, Patty McDonald and Kathy Sweeney (Tom). She is predeceased by her sister, Betty Carknard and mother in law Mae (Mitchell) McDonald. A memorial service will be conducted at 10am on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Hoosic Valley Community Church with Rev. Clyde McCaskill, Pastor, officiating.
