Frederick Alford Jones, 76, of Schaghticoke, New York, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024 at home surrounded by family.

Born in Troy, New York, Fred was a son of the late Robert Francis Jones, Sr and Jane Elizabeth Gosnell.

Fred received his Honorable Discharge from the US Marines in 1973 as a Lance Corporal. He retired from the US Army Watervliet Arsenal in 1999.

He leaves behind five brothers: Arthur Jones and David Jones of Schaghticoke, New York, John G. Jones of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Dennis Jones of Green Island, New York, and Kenneth Jones of Valley Falls, New York. Uncle Freddie will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews as well.

A brief service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 10:30 am at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, New York followed by interment.
