Stillwater - Saratoga County Frank L. "Buddy" Mattoon of Hudson Avenue passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 27, 2014 with his loving family at his side. He was 74. Born in Kingston on April 3, 1939, son of the late Frank D. and Elizabeth (Tubby) Mattoon. He is the husband of Rose A. (Heagney) Mattoon whom he married in Troy on February 12, 1966. Frank worked of the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles in Albany as a statistics clerk. Survivors in addition to his loving wife of 48 years, Rose include their children, Amy (David) DiPietro of Rotterdam, Tracey Mattoon of Troy, Jennifer Mattoon of St. Louis, MO and Daniel (Elizabeth) Mattoon of Glenville. His siblings, Donna (John) Acker of Lake George and Donald Mattoon of Tupper Lake and his beloved grandchildren, Isabella DiPietro and Bradley Mattoon. Relatives and friends may call from 5-8pm on Monday, March 31 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. Funeral Mass will be at 11am on Tuesday at All Saints on the Hudson, South Church 121 North Main Street, Mechanicville. Burial will be is St. Peter's Cemetery in the spring.
