Francis J. Yusaitis, Sr. of Van Buren Avenue in Mechanicville passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Diamond Hill Nursing Center. He was 85. Born on July 8, 1925 in Mechanicville to the late George and Anna Micklas Yusaitis. Husband of the late Jeanne (Sellar) Yusaitis whom he married on June 7, 1959. He was an electrician for the B&M Railroad in Mechanicville from 1945 to 1957. As well as a forklift operator and bailer for the Stevens Thompson Paper Company in Mechanicville. A communicant of St. Peter the Apostle Church in Stillwater. He passionately enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a charter member of Trout Unlimited Wilderness Society, a member of Natural Resources Defense Council N.R.D.C., Defenders of the wildlife, The Sierra Club, Wildlife Forever Defender and many other various wildlife organizations. Survivors include two sons: Joseph A. (Celeste) Yusaitis of Watervliet and Francis G. (Linda) Yusaitis of Clifton Park. Also survived by three Grand-Children: Joanna Marie, Timothy M. and Melissa Yusaitis. In addition to his parents and wife Francis was predeceased by his son, James G. Yusaitis, four brothers; George Jr., John, Stanley and Edward Yusaitis, as well as his sister Mary Yusaitis. Relatives and friends may call from 4-6pm on Wednesday, at the Dunn Funeral Homes, Inc., 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at St. Pauls Church in Mechanicville with The Reverend David Mickiewicz officiating. Entombment will be in St. Pauls Cemetery in Mechanicville.
