Forrest Milo "Milo" Jose, 83, of Mechanicville, NY, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 7, 2025. A devoted family man, proud veteran, and dedicated community servant, Milo touched countless lives with his warmth, integrity, and commitment to service.

Milo served his country honorably in the United States Navy aboard the USS Hancock and went on to build a distinguished career at Lockheed Martin, from which he retired after 34 years of dedicated service.

He was the beloved widower of C. Lynn (Gallant) Jose, who passed away in 2019. Their enduring love and partnership was an inspiration to all who knew them. Milo found companionship and joy again with his companion, Noelle Peters.

Milo is survived by his cherished children: Colleen Kayser and her husband Robert, E. Danielle Jose-Decker and her husband "Brud" Decker, and Benjamin Jose and his wife Anita Teigen. He was the proud grandfather of Brandon and Zachary, and loving step-grandfather to Lori and Allison and their families. He is also survived by twelve of his fourteen siblings.

He was predeceased by his parents, Greta (Brown) Jose and Francis Jose, and two siblings.

A Past Exalted Ruler of the Mechanicville-Stillwater Elks, Milo was especially proud of his work as District Chairman of the Americanism Committee, a role he held with distinction for over a decade. His dedication to promoting patriotism and civic responsibility reflected his deep love of country and community.

In his leisure time, Milo was an avid golfer and passionate reader, finding peace and pleasure in both pursuits.

Arrangements are being handled by Chase-Smith Funeral Home in Mechanicville, New York. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home, with an Elks Service at 6:00 PM. Refreshments will follow at the Mechanicville-Stillwater Elks Lodge. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at All Saints on the Hudson Church in Mechanicville. Committal will take place at the Saratoga National Cemetery following the Funeral Mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Milo's name to the Mechanicville-Stillwater Elks Scholarship Fund.
