Mechanicville Floyd A. LaPrade, Jr. Floyd A. LaPrade, Jr., of Mechanicville passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at his residence as result of an accident. He was 76. Born in Schenectady on August 17, 1935, son of the late Floyd A. and Louise (LaBombard) LaPrade, Sr. Floyd was employed in the area by various companies as a commission salesman since 1950. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Sharon (Welcome) LaPrade, his daughters, Sheri-Noel Claus, Michele LaPrade, Maria-Lisa Williams and Therese Surin, a son, David M. LaPrade, a brother, Robert A. LaPrade, sixteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Floyd is predeceased by his several brothers. Relatives and friends may call from 10-11:00am on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Transfiguration Parish (Formerly Holy Trinity Church) Route 40 in Schaghticoke.
