Obituary

Stillwater Saratoga County Erik Alan Mueller of Dick Lynch Road passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Albany Medical Center Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was 44. Born in Albany on March 18, 1968, he is a son of Josef Charles and Priscilla (Harling) Mueller, Jr., On June 23, 2001, he married his love of 23 years, the former Eva Villano. A graduate of Stillwater Central Schools, Erik went on to Ohio Diesel Tech in Cleveland, OH. Mule-Train as he was known when he rode his Harley Davidson also loved being outdoors, especially deer hunting, playing for the Stillwater Tigers, taking trips with Eva in their fifth wheel, camping and boating at the Schuyler Yacht Basin. He also was known for Eriks Finest Maple Syrup. Mr. Mueller was also a parishioner of Stillwater United Church. Earlier, he was a volunteer firefighter for Arvin Hart Fire Company. Erik cared greatly for his community, one that will deeply miss him. Survivors in addition to his parents and wife, Eva Mueller include his brothers, Josef C. (Linda) Mueller of Concord, MA, Andrew D. (Kathy Wiesmore) of Stillwater, Jonathan P. (Patricia) Mueller of Stillwater, Tammy (Steve) Gori and several other foster siblings. Also, his stepsons, William D. Mansfield of Mechanicville and Robert A. Mansfield of Stillwater and he is Poppy to William, Jonathan and Alexis and Godfather to Marley Mueller and Hudson Treacy. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Stillwater United Church, Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. Relatives and friends may gather in the Fellowship Hall, following the service. Memorials may be made to the National Brain Tumor Society, 124 Watertown Street, Suite 2D Watertown, MA 02472 in Eriks honor.
