Ellsworth Woody A. Wood, 75 , of Hudson Avenue in Stillwater died Sunday January 2, 2011, at his residence surrounded by his family. Born in Plattsburg, NY on April 21, 1935. Woody was the son of Victor & Alice Stone Wood. Husband of Rita M. Doody whom he married June 28, 1959 in Cannon Ct. A communicant of St. Peters Church in Stillwater, and a member of the Mechanicville-Stillwater Elks Lodge number 1403. Woody was a fifty year member of the Operating Engineers Local 106, He served during Korean Conflict with the Us Air Force from 1952 -56. Proud owner and operator of We all Need Help Construction Co from which he retired in 1979. An Avid New York Yankees Fan and NASCAR # 48 Fan. Survivors in addition to his wife Rita include: 3 Sons Wayne (Sylvia) Manor of Richardson, Texas, Anthony (Jane) Wood of Mechanicville, Victor (Cindy) Wood of Stillwater. 5 Daughters: Anita (Robert) Nichols of Clifton Park, Gina (Christopher) Helbling of Ballston Spa, Jennifer (William) Gorecki of Stillwater, Lisa (Michael) Swinton of Waverly Hall, GA, Dannielle (Mark) Sabatino of Stillwater. Siblings: Agnes LaPointe of Mechanicville, Theresa Kirkindall of Toledo, Ohio, Mildred Hayes of Plattsburg. Also survived by 28 Grandchildren and 27 Great-Grand-Children. Predeceased by siblings: Donald, Harold, Allen and Leander Wood, Loretta Bordeau, Cecile L Litterll, Joyce Bessy, Alena Wood. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday January 5th from 4 - 7 PM at St. Peters Church, Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:00 AM at St. Peters Church Hudson Avenue Stillwater With the Rev. David Mickiewicz, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H.
