Elizabeth A. "Betty" Laurenzo of Third Street passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush. She was 75.
Born in Troy on May 18, 1944, daughter of the late Armond J. and Emma A. (Huffman) Laurenzo.
Betty was a graduate of Mechanicville High School class of 1962. She had worked as a PCA for St. Marys and St. Peters Hospital. She was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, Pittsburg Steelers and Alabama Crimson Tide Football.
Betty is survived by her siblings, Vincent (Robin) Laurenzo of Stillwater and Richard (Dawn) Laurenzo of Richfield Springs, a sister-in-law Teresa A. Laurenzo, her nieces and nephews, Diane (James) Leonard, Danielle (Stephen) Simmons, Raymond "RJ" (Lisa) Laurenzo and Marlene (Steve) Herrington, Michelle (Jon) Cash, Kerilynn (Tony) Stenta and Christopher (Kerri) Laurenzo as well as several great nieces and nephews, her Goddaughter Shelita Oliver, Godson Michael Oliver, Sr. and their children Michael Oliver, Jr. and Sharlea Oliver.
She is predeceased by her brother, Raymond J. Laurenzo.
Relatives and friends may call from 3-6:00pm on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. A service will be conducted at 6:00pm in the funeral home with Deacon Greg Mansfield, officiating.
The family would like to thank Lisa Sprague and the staff at Samaritan Hospital 4th floor, Stacey, Lindsay and the staff at Evergreen Commons, Wynantskill Unit for their care of Betty.
