Elizabeth Anne (Betty) Haskell (76) passed away peacefully at Albany Medical Center on Thursday, October 2, 2014 after a brief illness. She was born on May 19, 1938 in Saratoga Springs, NY, the daughter of the late Walter and Anna (Shanks) Mason, Sr. Elizabeth was a loving wife and mother, and she was proud of her days as a country vocalist on WKAJ in the 1950s. She was predeceased by her husband William G. Haskell, a brother, Walter (Eleanor) Mason, Jr., and three sisters: Janet (Thomas) Crawford; Palma (Langdon) Sharp; and Virginia (Edward) Lewis. Betty is survived by her son William (McKenzie) Haskell and her grandchildren Nathanael and Savannah Haskell, all of Amherst, NY. She is also survived by siblings Gloria (Robert) Ramsey of Greenfield Center; Mary (Timothy) DuBois of Ballston Spa; and Anna Rhodes and William Mason of St. Petersburg, FL, as well as several nieces and nephews. The suffering is over and a new journey has begun. Elizabeth is reunited with the love of her life in the house of the Lord. Shed your tears, and then rejoice.
