Elizabeth (Betty) Madigan Bunk, 90, formerly of Melrose and Mechanicville died peacefully Monday evening with her loving family by her side.
Born April 20, 1920 in Melrose, NY Daughter of the late Thomas & Elizabeth Rayher Madigan.
A graduate of Lansingburgh High School Troy NY
Widow of Michael Bunk who died in 1998
She was retired from the Reese Factory in Waterford with more than thirty years service.
Betty and Mike were well known in the Melrose area for their Corn, Tomatoes and Berries which they sold thru out the area.
Betty was referred to in Mechanicville as the Hat Lady due to her love of wearing hats.
She was a faithful member of Assumption St. Pauls Church in Mechanicville, a Member of the Mechanicville Senior Citizens. A nature lover she enjoyed fishing, flowers, and she loved to travel she enjoyed vacations in Ireland, where she kissed the Blarney Stone and she also visited France, and Florida. When she could not find anything to do she loved to read.
Survivors include 11 Nieces and Nephews : and more than 40 Great and Great Great Nieces and Nephews, and many extended family members.

Relatives and Friends may call Thursday from 4 6 PM at the Dunn Funeral Homes 319 Park Avenue Mechanicville.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:00 AM from Assumption St. Pauls North Main Street with the Rev. Christopher Drennen, O.S.A.
Burial will be in St. Pauls Cemetery
