Halfmoon - Saratoga County Edwin T. Ciepiela of Johnson Road passed away at his residence on Monday, May 19, 2014. He was 81. Born on the family farm on Johnson Road on September 3, 1932, son of the late Ludwick and Sophie (Skalak) Ciepiela. Ed was the owner of Town and Country Ceramics and Ciepiela Florist, both of Halfmoon. He is a member of Corpus Christi Church in Round Lake and a Charter Member of the Hillcrest Fire Department. Survivors include his forever friend, Bill Duchesne of Clifton Park, his sisters, Mona McBride and Ann Mickalonis and his brother, Chester Ciepiela all of Halfmoon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his siblings and other family members. Relatives and friends may call from 4-7pm on Thursday, May 22 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10am on Friday at Corpus Christi Church, 2001 Route 9, Round Lake. Burial will be in the family plot in St. Paul's Cemetery.
