Schaghticoke, Rensselaer County Edward N. Powers of Main Street passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at home. He was 38. Born in Troy on September 30, 1982, son of Edward D. and Linda (Agars) Powers. Ed was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and loved all sports, especially boxing. He loved conversation and was able to recall stats and dates like no other. He was a kind soul and was liked by all who met him. He cared deeply for children and animals and will be missed. He also worked for the family contracting business after attending Hoosic Valley Central School. Survivors in addition to his parents Ed and Linda include his brothers, Sam Powers of Petersburg and his son Sam, Jr., Calvin Powers of Greenwich, his uncle Mike (Cheri) Powers of Malta and his aunt Darlene (David) Sagendorf of Troy.
