Edmund F. Burdick, Sr. Johnsonville, Rensselaer County Edmund F. Burdick, Sr. of Herrington Road, Johnsonville, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at his residence after a long illness. He was 66 years old. Born on August 7, 1950, in Troy, son of the late Frank E. and Doris (Hoag) Burdick. Husband of Susan (Hussey) Burdick whom he married on June 21, 1975. Ed worked for Al Tech Steel in Watervliet for more than 20 years. His hobbies included golf, hunting, darts, and gardening. He and his brother loved working on restoring their 1953 Chevy pickup truck. Many weekends were spent with his family and friends supporting his boys as they motorcross. Above all he enjoyed being Gramps to his adoring grandchildren. Survivors in addition to his wife Susan Burdick of Johnsonville include their children, Edmund F. Burdick, Jr. of Satellite Beach, Fl and his children Brett and Riley, Matthew J. Burdick (Michelle) of Buskirk and her child Taylor and Andrea L. Burdick (Erik) of Valley Falls and their children Jayden, Aaliyah and Dylan. Also survived by his siblings, Michael Burdick (Sandra) of Johnsonville and Bonita Manupella (Pete) of Virginia Beach, VA., as well as several nieces and nephews.
