Dorothy E. Welch, 90, died Tuesday evening January 4th at the Eddy Village Green, Cohoes, NY following a lengthy illness.
Born August 17, 1920 in Albany, Daughter of the late Louis & Marian Viall Williamson.
Wife of David M. Welch whom she married August 17, 1940.
A graduate of Schaghticoke Public Schools and the Mildred Elley Business College.
A house wife and mother, she also worked at the Watervliet Arsenal during WW II, In later years she was a Cafeteria worker for Hoosic Valley Schools.
A member of the Presbyterian United Church in Schaghticoke, she was also a member of the former Cambridge Valley Garden Club. Life member of the Palestine Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.

David L. (Linda) Welch of Spiegletown, NY, 2 daughters: Judith A. (Carlton) Phelps of Mechanicville Deborah E. (Kenneth) VanWert of Mechanicville, 1 sister: Louanne (Alvin) Hoag of Stephenville, Texas, Also survived by 5 Grandchildren: Keith , Darren, Laurie Phelps, Mark Welch & Tonya Bechand, 7 Great grandchildren Deborah Bombard, Guinevere, Jennifer, Amanda & Austin Phelps, Morgan & Madeline Bechand 1 Great Great Grandson Timothy Bombard, Jr. and several Nieces and Nephews.
Predeceased by a sister Lois Macri
Relatives and friends may call Saturday January 8th from 1:00 to 2:30PM. A Funeral service will be held at 2:30PM from the Chase Funeral Home 173 Main Street Schaghticoke with the Rev. Stephen Cordes officiating.
Burial will be in the spring at Elmwood Cemetery in Schaghticoke.
