Dorothy J. Middleton, of Sparrow Hawk Circle in Halfmoon, passed away peacefully, August 19, 2019 at Ellis Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was 87 years old. Born on November 4, 1931 in Schenectady, NY to the late Henry B. and Ella C. (Hatlee) Johnson. Dorothy was the Head Receptionist for the NYS Trooper Academy in Albany for over 20 years retiring in 1994. "She was as much a State Police family member as anyone who ever wore a uniform." Survivors include her loving son, Todd L. Middleton of Halfmoon. Two grandsons; Zachary A. Middleton of California and Jacob A. and his wife Krystal Middleton of Porters Corners. Two great-grandchildren Sawyer and Norah Middleton of Porters Corners and one brother, Carl and his wife Doris Johnson of Clifton Park. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. In addition to her parents Dorothy was predeceased by her son Tyler W. Middleton as well as siblings; Alice Jackson, James Johnson, Richard Johnson and Elsie Brown.
