Porter, Doris C. Albany, Albany County Doris C. Porter of Melissa Court passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peters. She was 84. Born in Kaiserlautern, Germany on December 11, 1932, daughter of the late Alfred and Hermina (Wilhelm) Sutter. She is the widow of the late Bernard M. Porter, Jr., whom passed away on March 26, 2010. On March 5, 1954, she married Bernard M. Porter, Jr., in Kaiserlautern, West Germany. In addition to being a home maker, she volunteered at the Stratton VA Medical Center Hospital. Survivors include her son, Charles B. Porter, granddaughter Dr. Angela (Bryan) Gordon and beloved grandchildren Emma Grace and Colin Bernard Gordon all of Albany. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 9:00am at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
