Mechanicville, Hemstreet Park Dorine Frances "Babe" Dyer passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 24, 2021. She was 87. Born in Stillwater on January 24, 1934, daughter of the late John D. and Elizabeth A. (Hutton) Camerota. She is the widow of the late Royal R. "Tony" Dyer who she married on June 29, 1952 in the Church of St. Peter the Apostle, Stillwater. Babe graduated from Stillwater Central School, class of 1951. She was a 1958 graduate of the Royal Beauty School in Schenectady. She went on to work as a secretary for the General Electric Company of Schenectady. She owned and operated Dorines House of Beauty. Following the passing of her beloved husband Tony, she became the president of the Royal R. Dyer Construction Company retiring in February of 2008. Babe was a devoted parishioner of All Saints on the Hudson, South Church and was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Paul #371. She was a member and past president of the Hemstreet Park Fire Department Auxiliary. Survivors include her sisters Joan (Tony) Polaro of Green Island and Sarah "Susie" J. Dunn of Malta, nieces and nephews, Anthony J. Polaro and daughter Mackenzie of Melbourne Fl, John Michael Camerota of Stillwater, Scott D. (Jennifer) Polaro and their children Gianna, Bellazara, Angelina, Anthony of Poestenkill, Christine Chapman and sons Henry and Liam of LaFayette, California and faithful canine companion Luke. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family She is predeceased by her brothers, John Henry Camerota and Michael A. Camerota, a brother-in-law Marty Dunn. Relatives and friends may call from 4-7:00pm on Friday, April 30, 2021 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, May 1st at All Saints on the Hudson, South Church in Mechanicville with burial in the family plot in Hudson View Cemetery.
