Donna Marie Danaher, Eagle Bridge (Rensselaer County)

Donna Marie Danaher passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington following a long illness. She was 53.

Born in Troy on May 16, 1970, daughter of Eleanor (Connors) Cary and the late William Cary. She is the wife of John M. Danaher.

Donna worked for the State of Vermont Child Protective Service as an administrative assistant. She enjoyed gardening, walks on the beach and curling up with a good book and her dogs at her feet. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors in addition to her mother Eleanor and her husband John include her children, Tommy, Jack and Maya, her sisters Patti (Pete) Zorella of Florida and Amy (Guy) Howes of North Carolina. Also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to thank her amazing coworkers at the Vermont Child Protective Service for their care and compassion during these hard times.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 4-7:00pm at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 173 Main St., Schaghticoke. A service will be held in the funeral home at 7:00pm.
